Our vision for students with special educational needs and disabilities is the same as for all young people – that they achieve their full potential and achieve well. We promote the importance of a fully inclusive community in terms of access to the curriculum, resilience and the development of the skills necessary for positive preparation for adulthood. The Enhanced Provision Team is an integral part of the whole school, with the emphasis being that every Teacher at Middlewich High School is a Teacher of SEND.
We have a dedicated and skilled team of Learning Practitioners who work alongside the Teaching team, to ensure that students’ additional needs are promoted across the whole school environment, and that the Cheshire East Toolkit for Inclusion is implemented within the classroom to support students to overcome a wide range of barriers to learning.
