We are planning to have a Tombola stall at the Folk and Boat Festival on Saturday the 16th June – we would be very grateful for any donations, bottles (any alcohol to be brought in by a parent), sweets, smellies, any unwanted gifts – we please just ask that anything is in good condition. As last year, there will be a competition; the form that brings in the most items in each year group, will win a prize.

On Tuesday, 22nd May, we marked the 12 month anniversary of the Manchester Arena Bombing with a fundraising day for the Remembering Nell Foundation.

On Monday 30th April we hosted our first ever ‘Careers Question Time’ event.
On the 17th April, approximately 20 students from Year 9 and 10 were selected to go to Cambridge University.
Four representatives from the Army gave up their time to come and conduct a training session on teamwork, dedication and leadership to Year 9 and Year 10 Prefects.
On Tuesday 27th March, Mrs Atkin-Nash took six Year 9 Students to the Up for Debate competition at Blessed Thomas Holford School in Altrincham.
The year 11 Astronomy GCSE class had the chance to go and see Tim Peake’s Soyuz capsule at the Manchester Museum of Science and Industry.

As part of improving pupil opportunities and awareness of Science at post 16, Year 11, have again completed another successful year of visiting Sir John Deane’s College.
On a cold march day 6 staff and 58 pupils made the annual pilgrimage to the Conway centre for the Science/Art revision weekend.
