Reporting Safeguarding Concerns

For any safeguarding concerns during school hours please contact the school on 01606 537670 or email safeguarding@mhs.school and ask to speak to any of the people listed below.

Safeguarding concerns can be reported to the school during term-time (please see holiday dates for the days the school is open) from 8am until 4pm – Monday to Thursday and 8am until 3.30pm – Friday.  Emails are monitored daily from 7.30am to 6pm.

If you have a safeguarding concern outside of these hours, please contact the local authority in which you live. The contact numbers for social care are below:

Cruelty to children must stop. If you are worried about a child’s safety, you can can contact the the NSPCC for advice.

Kidscape is the first charity in the UK dedicated to prevent bullying and child sexual abuse. Kidscape believes that protecting children from harm is key and work with children and young people to under the age of 16, their parents/carers, and those who work with them.

Thinkuknow the NCA’s CEOP Command (formerly the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre) works with child protection partners across the UK and overseas to identify the main threats to children and coordinates activity against these threats to bring offenders to account. They protect children from harm online and offline, directly through NCA led operations and in partnership with local and international agencies.
