Angela Deakin

Vice-Chair of Governors

I am Middlewich born and bred, and a former pupil at Middlewich High, as well as Sir John Deane’s in Northwich.

After A Levels I joined Barclays Bank, I recently retired after a 36 year career largely spent in Technology.  Over the years I have worked on many different aspects of Finance, for 30 years I worked as a Programme Manager delivering large scale IT projects.  My role has allowed me to work internationally including Dallas and New York in the USA, Shanghai in China, Manila in the Philippines, as well as in a number of European cities, I spent a lot of time in India working in Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai.

In my free time I enjoy spending as much time as possible in the great outdoors, I am a keen cyclist and enjoy the flat roads and cycle paths of Cheshire, as well as more challenging routes in Cumbria and Derbyshire. I also enjoy walking, particularly on the North Devon coastal path.

My role as a Governor gives me an opportunity to support the community I belong to and support Mrs Naylor, and the staff of Middlewich High School, in ensuring the current students achieve the best possible outcomes.
