James Bancroft

Parent Governor

I am a parent governor and will have two children in school from September. Having seen how well our daughter has thrived here, I am committed to supporting the school’s continued success.

I work for a local authority as a Principal Manager, with responsibility for school admissions, SEND commissioning, school transport and alternative provision. Before this, I spent seven years as the headteacher of a large primary school, leading it from Requires Improvement to Good and securing outcomes within the top 5% nationally. My career in education spans more than 22 years, teaching across Key Stage 2 and serving as a senior leader for almost 15 years.

I have served as a governor at four Cheshire schools over an eight‑year period, including time as Chair of the Full Governing Board and chairing several committees.

I bring experience in leadership, finance, data analysis, curriculum development, safeguarding, health and safety, HR and strategic planning.
