Parent Governor

As a local parent, I care deeply about the school and the community it serves, and I wanted to play an active role in helping to support the school’s progress and the experiences of all our young people. I decided to become a Parent Governor because I know how important it is for families to have a voice in the direction of the school. I’m passionate about making sure that parents’ perspectives are heard, and that students receive the support, challenge, and opportunities they need to thrive, both academically and personally.

In my professional life, I work within Senior Management of an IT Consultancy organisation, where I support teams, define strategies, look at how things can be improved, and support projects move forward in a clear and practical way. I bring these skills into my governor role, especially when reviewing school plans, looking at how decisions impact students, and supporting the school leadership where I can.

As a Parent Governor, I’m particularly interested in:

  • Making sure communication between school and families stays open and supportive
  • Ensuring that students feel included, valued, and able to reach their potential
  • Helping the school continue to grow, celebrate its strengths, and improve where needed

Being part of the governing body has been a really positive experience, and I’m proud to contribute to a school that plays such an important part in the lives of so many young people in Middlewich. I’m always keen to learn and represent the views of parents to help make the school the best it can be.
