Admissions Arrangements for 2025

Thank you for considering Middlewich High School as your school of choice.

On the 1st Dec 2021 Middlewich High School became a Converter School for admission Years 7-11, when we joined the Sir John Brunner Foundation.

The current Published Admission Number (PAN) is 140 per year group.

For year 7 allocation, the local authority, Cheshire east co-ordinate the process.
(31st October 2024 is the closing date for applications to be returned to Cheshire East).

The authority advises parents whether their application has been successful and informs unsuccessful applicants of their right to appeal on 1st March 2025. Unsuccessful applicants will have 20 days from the date of refusal, (29th March 2025) to lodge a written appeal. Appeals will be heard within 40 school days (14th June 2025) of the deadline for lodging appeals.  You can find a comprehensive list of the local authority deadline dates in the link below.
