Course content
One year option
If you opt for photography for one year this will be an opportunity to extend your GCSE Art coursework through the means of photography.
You will be taught about camera processes and techniques, and how to further develop photographs using Photoshop and other computer design programmes.
The work created will be displayed in the final exhibition with your GCSE Art coursework and will be marked alongside your project work. These images will enhance each project and will provide extra marks for observations.
Two year option
If you opt for 2 years you could have the opportunity to work towards a GCSE in photography. This would take a lot of dedication and would result in a final exhibition. If you have opted for the GCSE Art course your photography GCSE work would have to have a distinct difference i.e. Different themes would have to be explored.
Accreditation
If the two year options is completed you could qualify for a Photography GCSE.
